Mental Health Resources in Churches

Is this a thing? Should this be a thing? What are your thoughts? I’m wondering if churches and leaders need to be better prepared to address mental health needs of their members. Should this be referred out or service brought into the church house?

Many people view the church as a place of healing but are we comfortable with utilizing resources in the church or reaching out to spiritual leaders?

I’d love to hear your thoughts as I explore resource development and ways the bridge the gap between faith and mental health.

Leave me a comment! I look forward to reading your thoughts!

Find your focus in the New Year.

2021 has wrapped up and 2022 is unfolding🥳Many if you will begin by setting goals for the year in hopes of achieving them by December 31st. Whatever you have decided to accomplish this year, I pray you allow yourself to enjoy the journey. When you find your focus I encourage you too do a few things along the way.

1. Rest- Our greatest clarity come when we slowdown and take a moment to breath.

2. Laugh- It’s medicine for your soul, brings life to your relationships, and helps us move beyond disappointment.

3. Create- Make something! It’s what we are created to do.

4. Heal- It happens in layers and stages as we tend to every part of our being. See a therapist, journal, cry, talk, sing, play and move. Heal the mind, body, and soul!

I pray 2022 is more than you ever expected. Happy New Year
